We all hear so many sad stories of animal abuse - of Pit Bulls being forced to fight and kill
one another; of pets left outside to suffer through the coldest and hottest of days; of dogs and cats left behind to die when their owners move; and of the millions of unwanted pets that are dumped at animal shelters, where they’re often euthanized before they can find new families. Luckily, there are still many people who care enough about animals to go to extreme measures to save the life of an innocent creature. Here is one such amazing rescue act which took place in Melbourne, Australia. These pictures tell a story that is sure to warm your heart. ![]() Maltese Shitzu - Bibi was blown off Brighton pier, by the gale force winds while strolling with the owner Sue Drummond. ![]() Ms Drummond watched helplessly as Bibi, who tried valiantly to dog-paddle back to Brighton Pier, was blown further into the surging water by winds of more than 100km/h. ![]() 'I thought he was going to sink and then maybe I wouldn't be able to find him,' she said. ![]() 'Raden Soemawinata, 20, was on the pier for a family ceremony to scatter his grandmother's ashes into the Melbourne bay. ![]() Lucky for Bibi, Raden, dived in the water to rescue the terrified dog. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After the ordeal he said, "It was pretty cold and windy but it wasn't such a hard decision to jump in, it wasn't such a great feat," ![]() ![]() ![]() Although bibi was shaken by his wet adventure, the next morning he was ready for his breakfast.
